We are in the midst of a new industrial revolution:

Governments and private companies are increasing their investments in new ways to decarbonize the planet while meeting the world's voracious demand for renewable and sustainable ways to produce energy, food, and water.

We hear about wind, solar, hydro, and hydrogen power. But we don't hear much about another power that's renewable, economical, scalable, and simply ingenious: Farm power.

Farm power, unleashed.

Farmers are pioneers of conservation, always innovating to maximize resources, reduce waste, improve yield, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs.

Monarch was created to take the power of farming to the next level, by optimizing and monetizing existing resources and transforming them into renewable revenue streams.

We're a partnership of three organizations dedicated to helping solve the world's conflicting demands to reduce climate change and increase food supply: Roeslein Alternative Energy, renowned engineers and developers of renewable energy production facilities; TPG Rise Climate, a major global impact investment fund; and Smithfield Foods, one of the world's leading providers of protein and an innovator in sustainable farming.

Always finding better ways to fuel, feed, and heal a growing and demanding planet.

Monarch converts methane emissions from Smithfield's pork farms into carbon-negative renewable natural gas to power homes, businesses, and commercial vehicles.

The lifecycle from creation to use removes at least 25 times more emissions from the atmosphere than emitted, resulting in the industry’s lowest carbon intensity level. Byproducts from this process create biomass that we transform into organic fertilizer for irrigation and soil regeneration. We're also recycling our used water into clean, potable water.

Prairie grass power.

We're doing something else that's truly unique: planting thousands of acres of native prairie grass, with a goal to eventually plant millions. Nothing short of a wonder crop, and a potential source of renewable energy, prairie grass captures and stores carbon. Its deep roots enrich the soil, reduce flooding, and enhance wildlife, including habitats for our namesake Monarch butterfly, now in danger of extinction.

Altogether, we are constructing an ecosystem where ecology and economics live in balance; creating a circular and virtuous economy where waste isn't wasted. Our 100% all-natural, climate positive innovations not only eliminate carbon emissions, but add oxygen into the atmosphere.
